All Big Upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 Games Releasing In 2025 & Beyond

Debuting in June 2025, the Nintendo Switch 2 is slowly but surely building up its library, a process that has barely started but is already quite exciting. At this point, the Switch 2 games calendar is not overly stuffed with releases, with most weeks including only a couple of newcomers; however, new titles are announced quite frequently, and there should always be something on the horizon that could tempt you to take out your wallet.

The gaming industry never sleeps, so keeping track of every upcoming Switch 2 game can be exhausting. Consequently, we’ve put together a breakdown of all the projects slated to launch on the console, and we are referring exclusively to native releases and not backward-compatible Switch titles. What are some of the next 2025 Switch 2 games? Which title will define 2026?

The focus is on Switch 2 games confirmed for North America. Japanese-only releases will not be included, unless they are confirmed to be coming to the West.

Updated on November 8, 2025, by Mark Sammut: As the year gradually approaches its end, Nintendo is ramping up the announcement for early 2026. However, 2025 still has some big upcoming Switch 2 games. The following games were added to the calendar or received release dates: Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny, Simogo Legacy Collection, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide – Plankton’s Portal Challenge DLC, Factorio, Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion – Into the Abyss, Psyvariar 3, Lovish, Pastry Panic, Order Up!!, Darwin’s Paradox!

Switch 2 Games Coming In November 2025

Hyrule Warriors, Kirby, Dragon Ball, Yakuza, & More

November 2025’s Switch 2 games lineup is pretty awesome, with a mix of ports and new games. Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero and Yakuza Kiwami have been out for a while (or a long time in the latter’s case), but they are still big deals.

Kirby Air Riders is one of the Switch 2’s most highly anticipated exclusives; however, it no longer has to carry November on its own, as Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment has started the month on a huge note. The Musou game is, more or less, the same quality as its two predecessors, and it should be a fun time for anybody craving this type of experience. Alternatively, One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 will also be debuting on the Switch 2, which is a bit surprising. Although not as big a release, SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide should be a solid 3D platformer.

  • November 6: Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment
  • November 7: Anima Gate of Memories: I & II Remastered
  • November 11: Goodnight Universe
  • November 13: Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout DX

  • November 13: Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key DX
  • November 13: Atelier Ryza Secret Trilogy Deluxe Pack

Switch 2 Games Coming In December 2025

Metroid Prime 4, Octopath Traveler 0, & More

OK, it is finally happening! Metroid Prime 4 is coming. This is not a drill. The Nintendo Direct on September 12 revealed that the long-awaited, long-desired sequel has an official release date, and it could very well be the biggest release of the final few months of the year.

The Switch 2’s December 2025 lineup is pretty great, at least for the first two weeks. Metroid is, obviously, the big one, but Marvel Cosmic Invasion should also be a fantastic co-op experience and a great option for beat ’em up fans. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is coming to the Switch 2, which should be impressive, and Octopath Traveler 0 should be a brilliant JRPG.

  • December 1: Marvel Cosmic Invasion
  • December 2: Assassin’s Creed Shadows
  • December 3: Simogo Legacy Collection
  • December 4: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
  • December 4: Octopath Traveler 0
  • December 5: Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny

Upcoming 2025 Switch 2 Games With No Release Date

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds & More

The Nintendo Switch 2 calendar for 2025 is still slightly open, and the console has a range of titles that are targeting debuts before the end of the year. However, with each passing day, it seems more likely that most of these projects will be postponed to 2026. Ultimately, developers should take all the time they need to ensure they deliver the best iterations of each title, and rushing them out will do nobody any good.

Switch 2 Games Coming In 2026 Or With No Release Year

Fire Emblem, Duskbloods, Elden Ring, Mario Tennis, Pokemon, & More

The Nintendo Switch 2’s 2025 games lineup will, ultimately, go down as a reasonable success. Sure, it could have used a new mainline Mario or Zelda game, but Donkey Kong Bananza and Metroid Prime 4 are just as good. However, 2026’s Switch 2 games will really need to pick up the momentum to establish the console as the real must-own piece of hardware, especially within the current turbulent gaming culture.

So far, the first three months of the year seem pretty good. Mario Tennis Fever will hopefully be decent, and Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, FF7 Remake Intergrade, and Trails beyond the Horizon should keep JRPG fans busy. Resident Evil will also be making a big splash toward the end of February 2026.
