The foldable phone market is getting increasingly crowded, with Chinese phone maker Vivo joining the latest wave of global launches with its new flagship X Fold6.
Unlike the Apple iPhone Duo and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8, Vivo has chosen not to follow the recent trend towards a slimmer, passport-sized foldable form factor. Instead, the X Fold6 sticks with a more traditional book-style design.
The Vivo X Fold6 features a 6.51-inch cover display and an 8.02-inch main foldable display. Both panels support 120Hz refresh rates and up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness.
Powering the foldable phone is the Dimensity 9500 Super Edition flagship platform, which Vivo says was co-developed and optimised with MediaTek to deliver seamless multitasking, enhanced stability, and improved power efficiency.
Camera performance is another area where Vivo is putting considerable emphasis. While some foldable phones have had to compromise on imaging hardware in pursuit of a slimmer design, Vivo has equipped the X Fold6 with a flagship-class camera system backed by ZEISS.
