World of Warcraft is running another early access playtest for the Housing feature on October 30 and 31, with a focus on guild neighborhoods. For a limited time, World of Warcraft fans can give this exciting new feature a try, even if they haven’t purchased Midnight yet.
Though Midnight introduces plenty of exciting content, one of the most highly-anticipated features in the World of Warcraft expansion is Player Housing. This system allows fans to buy houses in two zones–Founder’s Point for Alliance and Razorwind Shores for Horde–after which they can create their dream home filled with their choice of thousands of different decor items.

- Testing takes place on October 30 and 31
- It could possibly be extended like the last test.
- The focus is on testing guild neighborhoods.
Now, World of Warcraft is holding another event on the Public Test Realm to give players a closer look at this feature. Blizzard recently announced that a new Housing test will take place on the Patch 11.2.7 PTR from October 30 through October 31, giving just about two days to try out the system. Fans need an active WoW subscription to create a PTR account, but if they already have one, they do not need to have game time or the Midnight expansion to play on the test servers.
The focus for this test is going to be on guild neighborhoods, as WoW requested PTR players to create guilds of all sizes to test these features. Of course, the goal is to see if there are any kinks that need to be ironed out.
This is the second Housing test World of Warcraft has held on the Patch 11.2.7 PTR so far. After a brief delay, the first one was planned to run on October 16 and 17, but was later extended through the weekend. If fans are lucky, World of Warcraft will do the same this time and let players experiment with the feature on November 1 and 2 as well, but it is worth reiterating that only October 30 and 31 are confirmed so far.
Early access for Housing arrives with Patch 11.2.7 on December 2. While it hasn’t shared any plans to do so yet, World of Warcraft may hold more Housing test events on the PTR in the weeks leading up to the feature’s arrival. Either way, once it launches, fans will need to pre-purchase World of Warcraft: Midnight to build a house, though they will be able to explore the housing zones and start collecting decor even without it.
