World of Warcraft Players Will Have To Wait a Little Longer to Try Player Housing

World of Warcraft has postponed the Housing Feature Test on the Public Test Realm for Patch 11.2.7 as it works through some unexpected issues. Though Player Housing will still arrive on the World of Warcraft Patch 11.2.7 PTR, fans will have to wait a bit longer to try it out.

Recently, World of Warcraft revealed Patch 11.2.7, “The Warning.” The final update of The War Within features tons of exciting content, including a new story campaign chapter, the return of the Brawler’s Guild, and early access for Player Housing. Even more exciting, a Housing Feature Test was scheduled to take place from October 13–16, giving all fans the chance to give the highly-anticipated system a spin, even if they don’t own WoW.

World of Warcraft Patch 11.2.7 Player Housing PTR Test Delayed

Unfortunately, something has come up that has temporarily delayed this event. Shortly before the servers went live, Blizzard updated its announcement blog with news that, due to unforeseen circumstances, the WoW Housing test for Early Access features had been canceled, and would not appear on the PTR at this time. That said, the event will still be taking place in the future.

At press time, it is unclear exactly what happened that led to the cancellation of the test, nor when the event will be rescheduled. If fans are lucky, it could start within a few days of the original test. However, it is just as likely that it will be delayed by one or more weeks while World of Warcraft works out whatever kinks it discovered in the system.

Regardless, this delay should not affect the official Early Access release date for Player Housing. Patch 11.2.7 is still expected to arrive on December 2, after which World of Warcraft fans who own Midnight will be able to engage with the majority of the system. The remaining aspects of the feature, such as Endeavors, will arrive alongside World of Warcraft: Midnight early next year.

In the meantime, players are still free to enjoy everything else the World of Warcraft Patch 11.2.7 Public Test Realm has to offer. The Pandaren Heritage Quest, Brawler’s Guild, and Blood and Void Elf Lorewalking questline, along with the epilogue for WoW: The War Within featuring Vereesa Windrunner, can all be experienced in their pre-launch states on these servers. Fans who want to get a sneak preview of these features and more, and help World of Warcraft playtest them, can do so for free via the Battle.net launcher, even without an active game subscription.
