Sony just announced the Sony RX10 V, the fifth-generation model of Sony’s iconic RX10 series.
This bridge camera uses a 1-inch-type sensor in its body with an integrated lens, offering a 24mm to 600mm zoom range across f/2.4 to f/4.0 apertures. Its entire package is designed to be easy for prosumers or hobbyists dabbling in serious digital photography, offering perks like optical zoom, professional controls, and all-around shooting without having to spend too much on lenses or upgrades.

The integrated lens is a ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T*, and its image sensor is a 1.0-type stacked Exmor RS CMOS with 20.1MP effective resolution. Video shooting goes up to 4K120FPS, and it’s further supported by a 0.5-inch OLED viewfinder (1,280 x 960 pixels, Quad VGA resolution) and a 3-inch LCD monitor.
Where Sony makes the RX10 V similar to its pro-grade Alpha mirrorless cameras is by sharing the same button layout and grip design, translating professional-grade controls onto a hobbyist camera.
Sony RX10 V packs both lens and body into one portable, high-quality package for easy shots.
