It sure seems like three-row SUVs are the next big thing. Earlier this year, we saw the launch of the Tesla Model Y L, and word on the street is that BYD’s three-row Sealion 8 is coming. Today, however, we have the launch of Mercedes-Benz’s new GLB. This new model replaces the old EQB.
The GLB is Mercedes-Benz’s most compact three-row SUV and will be offered in two variants: the GLB200 electric Progressive and GLB250+ electric AMG Line Sport.
The front fascia is striking and unmistakably a Benz.

The entry-level GLB200 has a power output of 110kW (148hp) and 335nm of torque. 0-100km/h takes 10.8 seconds. It also has a 58kWh battery and a claimed WLTP range of 453km. The maximum charging rate is 200kW, which Mercedes says is enough to add around 140km of range in 10 minutes.
The GLB250+ has a higher power output of 200kW (268hp). However, maximum torque is unchanged at 335nm. 0-100km/h takes just 7.4 seconds, and it has a larger 85kWh battery that’s good for a claimed WLTP range of 674km. It charges faster, too. Maximum charging speed is up to 320kW, which can add about 225km of range in 10 minutes.
