A large portion of the ARC Raiders community has decided to jump into an ongoing faction war taking place between various streamers, but the Civilians of Speranza has declared itself to be a neutral faction with rules that include avoiding PvP and reviving everyone. ARC Raiders was originally released on October 30 and is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
While Embark Studios has been busy releasing updates for ARC Raiders, the community decided to come together for its own live event on November 22. The event has been given a few different names, but it is essentially a faction war between some of ARC Raiders‘ most prominent streamers. It seems as if the whole thing started when HutchMF was taken down during an on-stream PvP encounter. The person who knocked out HutchMF reportedly taunted the streamer by saying “for the Bungulators.” This was a reference to a faction of players led by the streamer Burnt Peanut. After the defeat, HutchMF took to social media and declared “war.” Lines were immediately drawn in the sand, with other big streamers joining in on the action. Streamers like Ninja and Shroud joined Burnt Peanut, while other content creators like TimTheTatman and Nickmercs joined HutchMF, but not everyone wanted to be part of the fighting.

ARC Raiders’ Civilians of Speranza Declare Neutrality
In a recent post on Twitter, ARC Radar revealed new rules for a faction called Civilians of Speranza. People who wish to join this faction must agree to avoid PvP, revive any downed raider they encounter, remain neutral in the streamer war, try to recruit other friendly gamers, and wear the faction’s designated uniform. While wearing a uniform may seem strange at first, it’s in keeping with the faction war taking place. Each faction has its own set of cosmetics meant to show off which streamer they’ve sworn allegiance to. For instance, Burnt Peanut’s Bungulators have been wearing the red variant of the Striker skin. As for the Civilians of Speranza, they’ll be expected to wear the blue and white Ultra Marine variant of ARC Raiders‘ Ryder skin, which gained a bit of a bad reputation when the title first launched.
The streamer-driven faction war has managed to ruffle more than a few feathers, however, as not everyone wants to participate. Some gamers have taken to Reddit to vent their frustration, with one player posting that they can’t wear their favorite outfit in the game anymore without people thinking they’re part of Burnt Peanut’s Bungulators. This isn’t the first time some players have encountered obstacles while trying to enjoy ARC Raiders, as a lot of gamers have complained about the title’s PvP elements as a whole.
While the extraction shooter genre has largely only appealed to a fairly niche audience in the past, it seems as if ARC Raiders has captured the attention of a larger crowd. This has caused a bit of strife within the community, as some players are eager to engage with the PvP elements of the title, while others are only interested in its PvE offerings. Some frustrations have also stemmed from the differences between playing solo or in a group, as they can prove to be vastly different experiences. In general, solo lobbies tend to be a bit friendlier, as gamers will regularly team up against the ARCs themselves. Meanwhile, cooperation is fairly limited in group play, as gamers tend to pick fights with one another more often.
