Gigabyte Aorus Elite 5K Mini LED monitor launch

The FM275K16P also supports not just dual, but a triple mode, being able to switch between 5K@165Hz (capable of being OC’d to 180Hz), UHD@220Hz and QHD@330Hz. In case the content you’re viewing isn’t up to snuff with its resolution, Gigabyte also says that the FM275K16P is equipped with an exclusive upscaler called AI Super Resolution.

As for the monitor’s colour credentials, it has a measured accuracy of Delta E<2, and covers 99% of the DCI-P3 scale. It’s also VESA DisplayHDR 1000-certified. All in all, another 5K monitor to join the arms race, it seems; Dell and ASUS were among some of the entrants earlier this week, but the FM275K16P is now throwing Mini LED into the mix.

The Aorus Elite lineup also consists of OLED monitors, including the Aorus Elite FO32U24GP and FO27Q28G, UHD and QHD displays respectively, which utilise 4th generation tandem OLED (that’s four OLED layers). The FO32U24GP also counts dual mode (Gigabyte didn’t state the exact refresh rates or which resolution they’ll run in) and DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20 connectivity.

Availability and Pricing

Unfortunately, Gigabyte has not announced the local pricing and availability details for the Aorus Elite series yet. However, judging by the LG UltraGear evo GM9 27GM950B-B (which uses a similar 27-inch 5K Mini LED panel), the flagship Aorus Elite FM275K16P certainly won’t be the cheapest of the bunch, to put it lightly.
