Doctors in Singapore see rise in pickleball-related injuries as the sport gains popularity


As pickleball gains popularity in Singapore, the number of players ending up in clinics has jumped twofold. Doctors say they are seeking help for a variety of pickleball-related injuries — from muscle tears to eye trauma. They say the main reason is that players underestimate the intensity of the game. Most patients are above 40, who are prone to tendon and joint degenerative conditions, as well as beginners, who may not have the proper form or equipment. Beatrice Yap reports.
