Leveling up fast and efficiently to reach the endgame content in a given season of Diablo 4 is also the first task players are faced with when creating a new seasonal character. Diablo 4 Season 11 is giving players some great new tools to help smooth out this process, with a change to how Skill Points are earned and the new Seasonal Rank mechanic providing a new progression metric. With these adjustments, a classic level route has returned to its throne as the best place for Diablo 4 players to spend their time preparing for the endgame in Season 11.
Season 11 makes speedfarming more necessary than ever, with new challenges like Lesser Evil invasions and the competitive Tower dungeon and its associated Leaderboards key parts of Diablo 4‘s new endgame. While there are plenty of Diablo 4 leveling builds to help players quickly prepare for these tasks, finding the best place to put those builds into action is an equal part of the equation. Luckily, Diablo 4 Season 11 opens the door for the Pit to be the ideal level farming location even before players reach the endgame.
The Pit is Once Again the Best Place to Level Up Quickly in Diablo 4 Season 11
Over the seasons, the best place to level in Diablo 4 has varied greatly. Previous seasons saw the optimal route evolve between Nightmare Dungeons and Helltides, with the Pit being a great option for progressing the Paragon Board once players hit level 60. However, the Pit could become the place to be throughout the early game grind toward max level in Diablo 4, thanks to the removal of some of its barriers to entry in Season 11.
The Pit Can Now Be Accessed Before Level 60 at Tier 10
Before Season 11, the Pit couldn’t be accessed until players reached the max level of 60, as the dungeon acted as a gate for higher Torment difficulty tiers. However, with Diablo 4 Season 11’s shift toward Capstone Dungeons as difficulty gates, the Pit has been opened up for access before players hit max level. Now players can start farming the Pit at Tier 10 as soon as they are strong enough to reach Rank 2 in the season journey, making it a fantastic location for leveling throughout most of the season.
The Pit also won’t cost any resources to enter, either, making it easily repeatable for players looking to farm it.
How to Maximize Leveling Efficiency in the Pit in Diablo 4 Season 11
While players won’t be able to immediately unlock the Pit in Diablo 4 Season 11, it will still likely become a favorite leveling spot early in the seasonal journey. Players will want to have a solid handle on their build before tackling the Pit, with several Legendaries and potentially even a Unique or two before attempting a run. This would put most players around level 30 or 40 as the recommended starting place for the Pit to get the most out of runs in the interim between leveling and endgame content, since the Capstone Dungeon to reach Rank 2 is set at level 30.
For the best chance at success in the Pit in Diablo 4 Season 11, players will want to follow a few unwritten rules:
- Have an Elixir and an Incense active when entering the Pit for buffs, as well as more XP gained.
- Invest in movement speed to make running the dungeon much faster.
- Take it one Tier at a time if the challenge is too great. There’s no need to jump multiple Tiers between runs, especially since the Pit has no cost this season.
Another great reason for using the Pit as a leveling farm is to prepare for Diablo 4‘s Tower dungeon and Leaderboards, which are set to release in early 2026. The two dungeons are likely to play very similarly, and similar builds will thrive in both, so the Pit will be the perfect test run for many builds in anticipation of The Tower’s release.
