Diablo 4 Delays New Season 10 Event and Patch

The Diablo 4 event and update that were supposed to go live on November 4 have both been delayed, with the 2.4.3 build now releasing on November 12 and the Compass to Carnage pushed back to November 25. Fans who were hoping to enjoy this Diablo 4 event will have to wait a couple of weeks in order to do so.

Recently, Diablo 4 revealed the brand-new Compass to Carnage boost event, which includes increased Infernal Compass and Aether acquisition rates and more Chaos Wave spawns during Infernal Hordes. Additionally, a small hotfix was announced that included a handful of bug fixes, changes to the First Aid achievement unlock prerequisites, and adjustments to the purchase confirmation inputs in the Battle Pass Reliquaries to help prevent players from accidentally spending Platinum. Both this event and the update were originally slated to drop on November 4.

Diablo 4 Update and Compass to Carnage Event Delayed

However, some unexpected issues have delayed both, albeit at different magnitudes. According to a forum post by Diablo 4 community manager Marcoose, the November 4 update has been pushed back just over a week to November 12. Unfortunately, Compass to Carnage was affected far more significantly; the new event will now run from November 25 through December 2.

  • 2.4.3 Build (bug fixes, Battle Pass Reliquary purchase update) – November 12
  • Compass to Carnage event – November 25–December 2

This means Compass to Carnage has transformed from a mid-season boost to an end-of-season catch-up event. Diablo 4 Season 11 arrives December 9, just one week after Compass to Carnage ends. Luckily, the event provides avenues to quickly grind out Viz-Jaq’taar Veneration Reputation, which should allow fans to reach their last-minute seasonal goals.

It is currently unclear exactly what issues Diablo 4 encountered that led to these delays, and why the Compass of Carnage event was pushed back three weeks instead of just one like the update. In any sense, players have a little more time to prepare for the event, and to earn the First Aid achievement in Diablo 4 before its unlock criteria are changed.

The First Aid achievement (fully upgrade the Healing Potion) will be unlocked by using the Healing Potion 1000 times on November 12, but fans who earn the achievement the old way will keep it.

Season 10 is drawing to a close soon, which means the Lesser Evils are about to take over Sanctuary in Season 11. However, fans should be aware that the fight against Andariel is only available for players who own Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred.
