SSSS.Gridman x Ultraman Card Game collaboration

The Ultraman Card Game is stepping outside the Ultra universe for its first collaboration with SSSS.Gridman. The 2018 anime, made by Tsuburaya Productions and Trigger, will get two products on 4 December: an extra booster pack called Union of Dreams and a pre-constructed SSSS.Gridman deck.

The booster pack adds Yellow as a new card colour and introduces two rarities, GR and SSSSP. Fans will also be happy to know it will also include new illustrations by creators from the anime, including Gridman designer Masayuki Goto. There’s a collector’s hook too: some packs will contain hand-signed cards from cast members Yuya Hirose, Hikaru Midorikawa, Yume Miyamoto and Reina Ueda. These will be inserted at random.

The 50-card deck features Full Powered Gridman and Gridknight, with Rikka Takarada and Akane Shinjo appearing as Boost Cards. It also comes with a booster pack, play sheet and one of four possible markers. Players will be able to build a complete deck using cards from the two products, which support the Boost Card and Color mechanics introduced to the game in October.

Four matching card sleeves, featuring Gridman, Rikka, Akane and the Primal Accepter, will go on sale the same day.  Here’s a sneak peek at some of the cards.
