What’s new at Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit 2026
The annual Snapdragon Summit is probably the hottest event of an Android phone’s year. Keen-eyed users look towards Qualcomm’s yearly updates to see what’s coming to their high-end portable gadgets, from mobile devices and wearables to powerful laptops and headphones.
This year, we see two flagship-tier mobile chipsets. Regular flagship phones can get the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 for another generational leap in overall performance, while Pro Max and Ultra models can opt for the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 for more CPU, GPU, and NPU power, plus 8K60FPS recording.
Audio chipsets for wearables and headphones also get a new Snapdragon Sound Elite Gen 2, which shrinks even further while adding Wi-Fi compatibility and better connectivity to AI assistants.
