Razer’s flagship Huntsman lineup now has two new 8KHz keyboards

Razer has announced two new keyboards to fill out the top spots in its lineup. These are the Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz and V3 Pro TKL 8KHz, which also act as the company’s newest flagship boards.

If the name sounds familiar, that’s because these boards are similar to their older brothers, the original Huntsman V3 Pro and Pro TKL, except that they’re the first boards the company has made with such a high polling rate, which also come under the same HyperPolling brand name as Razer’s 8KHz mice and wireless dongle.

Similar to the past Huntsman V3 Pro boards, the new 8KHz Huntsman also utilises Razer’s Analog Optical Gen-2 switches. The company has been pretty wary about straying away from what has worked for them; while hall effect switches have been gaining traction over the past couple of years, Razer has continued implementing optical switches in its boards, with a blog post from last year detailing why (mostly having to do with a hall effect switch’s magnetic sensing mechanism).
