Xiaomi is the latest major Android device maker to raise prices, adding to a growing list of tech companies passing higher component costs on to consumers.
Effective 1 September, Xiaomi will raise prices in Japan for several smartphones and tablets. These include the following:
- Xiaomi 17T Pro
- POCO X8 Pro Max
- POCO X8 Pro
- Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro
- Redmi Pad 2 Pro
- Redmi Pad 2.
The steepest increase is ¥20,000 (~S$159), which applies to both configurations of the Xiaomi 17T Pro, POCO X8 Pro Max and POCO X8 Pro.
