A commuter was left with a severe bruise after the Go-Ahead bus she was on allegedly came to a sudden stop on Oct 16.
Stomper Klara told Stomp that she was on bus service 119 with her daughter at about 7.05am when the incident occurred.
“The driver was speeding recklessly throughout the journey and tried to beat the traffic lights,” she said.
“I had just stood up to prepare to alight when the lights turned red.
“The driver slammed the brakes suddenly, and I was completely caught off guard. I lost my balance and hit my right thigh hard against the side of the seat.”
Klara said the impact left her in severe pain and produced a large bruise on her thigh, which worsened over several days.
She later sought medical attention and shared photos showing the injury’s progression from Oct 16 to 22.
