Tensions between Thailand and Cambodia flared in July with clashes that led to the deaths of more than 40 people and 300,000 fleeing their homes. The ceasefire deal was signed after U.S. President Donald Trump’s arrival in Kuala Lumpur for the 47th Asean Summit on Oct. 26. Trade agreements between U.S., Thailand and Cambodia were also signed at the summit. As Trump signed the agreements, he could be heard saying the agreements were “a great deal for both countries”. The U.S. will do “lots of” transactions with them “as long as both countries live in peace”, BBC reported Trump saying. #news
