Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8, Fold8 Ultra & Flip8 Singapore pre-order guide

Samsung has pulled the covers off its 2026 foldable and flipable range. For the first time, the family splits three ways. A new Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra now sits above the re-imagined Galaxy Z Fold8, while the sleeker Galaxy Z Flip8 rounds out the trio. There is no new Flip FE launched this time, but Samsung did update their smartwatch line-up with the Watch Ultra 2 and Watch9. The devices were unveiled at Galaxy Unpacked 2026, Samsung’s first summer keynote held in London, and Singapore buyers can pre-order them now.

Local pricing and availability

Pricing tells the story of the reshuffled line-up. The standard Galaxy Z Fold8 starts from S$2,498 for the 12GB + 256GB model, which is S$200 cheaper than the Galaxy Z Fold7’s S$2,698 launch price a year earlier. The premium has moved up to the new Fold8 Ultra, which opens at S$2,798 and tops out at S$3,698 for the 16GB + 1TB configuration, setting a new high for the range (last year’s most expensive Fold7 reached S$3,328). The Galaxy Z Flip8 carries a modest bump, starting at S$1,678 against the Flip7’s S$1,648.

The online-exclusive colours (Green Shadow, Pistachio and Mint) are sold only through the Samsung Online Store and Samsung Shop App.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Z Fold8 and Z Flip8 go on general sale from 14 August 2026, Friday, at local telcos (M1, Singtel and StarHub), the Samsung Online Store, Samsung Shop App, Samsung Experience Stores, Samsung Official Stores on Lazada, Shopee, KrisShop and iShopChangi, major consumer electronics and IT stores, and other selected channels including ZYM Mobile (other shopping links below).

Pre-order specials

Pre-orders open from 22 July 2026, Wednesday, 9:00PM Singapore time. Buyers who pre-order get early delivery and can collect or receive their devices from 10 August 2026, Monday, ahead of the general on-sale date. The perks on offer are as follows:

Beyond the pre-order specials, every purchase of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8, or Flip8 will give you 6 months of Google AI Pro subscription access (with 5TB of cloud storage and more), which is worth S$173.

For those telco buyers, Singtel and M1 will open pre-orders on 22 July, 9:00PM, but StarHub starts later, on 23 July 2026, Thursday, at 9:00AM. On collection, M1 offers in-store pick-up and delivery, Singtel adds POPStation collection, and StarHub offers in-store pick-up or delivery.

Buyers who would rather subscribe than own can go through Cinch, Samsung’s exclusive subscription partner, which offers low monthly payments, worry-free protection and an upgrade option at the end of the term. 

During the pre-order period, the foldables subscription covers the Galaxy Z Fold8 256GB from S$112 a month on a 12-month plan, while a bundle subscription pairs the Galaxy Z Fold8 256GB with the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 from S$149 a month on an 18-month plan. For outright buyers, Samsung offers an up-to-36-month 0 percent instalment plan with UOB, OCBC, Trust Bank or DBS credit cards on the Samsung Online Store and Samsung Shop App, applicable to purchases above S$500, and at Samsung Experience Stores with selected cards. Buy Now Pay Later options through PayLater by Grab, SPayLater and Atome are also available on the Samsung Online Store, Samsung Shop App and Samsung Experience Stores.

New Galaxy Club

Samsung is running the New Galaxy Club again for buyers who want more certainty when they upgrade. 

Customers who purchase an eligible new Galaxy Z Series device can join for S$339 and receive a guaranteed trade-in value of 50 percent of the device’s original RRP, up to S$1,849, when they upgrade to an eligible next-generation Galaxy foldable during its pre-order period, subject to trade-in conditions. 

Membership also bundles two years of Samsung Care+ coverage worth up to S$388. Anyone who buys an eligible 2-year Samsung Care+ or Care+ Premium plan is automatically enrolled. Registration runs from 22 July 2026, 9:00PM to 13 August 2026, 11:59PM, and must be completed in the same transaction as the device purchase.

Easy Mode Club

Samsung is bringing back Easy Mode Club, a 28-day trial that lets people try the new Galaxy Z Series and Galaxy Watches before committing, with community events led by #TeamGalaxy members. At the end of the trial, participants can buy the device at an exclusive programme price or return it, no questions asked. Registration runs from 22 July 2026, 9:00PM until 8 August 2026, 11:59PM here.

Samsung Care+

For added protection, Samsung Care+ offers 24/7 remote support via Samsung Live Chat and coverage for out-of-warranty repairs. Care+ Premium covers unlimited out-of-warranty repairs, standard Care+ covers up to two over two years, and Care+ Lite covers screen protection only. Galaxy Unpacked Singapore experience

Samsung is inviting the public to experience the new range at Galaxy Unpacked Singapore on 23 July 2026, 6:30PM, at Warehouse @ River Promenade on Jiak Kim Street. Admission is free with registration.

Visitors get hands-on time with the new foldables and watches across a series of experience zones, along with live entertainment. Samsung is also showing its wider ecosystem, including the 115-inch Micro RGB Samsung Vision AI TV, The Movingstyle portable 27-inch touchscreen display, and Samsung Spatial Signage, its 3D digital signage solution.
