We’ve come a long way from the days when 144Hz monitors were considered fast. Now that the typical refresh rate you’d find on a gaming monitor has ballooned to as high as 720Hz (with 1000Hz on the way), there’s quite a number of us still on those older monitors, and who may be looking to finally upgrade after years of holding out on them.
Enter the AOC Q27G40ZDF. Long name aside, this 26.5-inch monitor may well be the perfect choice for those looking to invest in their next monitor to hold onto for years to come.
$570 $999 43% off
The AOC Q27G40ZDF is going for almost half off now.

The Q27G40ZDF is AOC’s highlighted offer for this month, and no wonder, because the price is almost half off. And while a $500 price may look a bit costly in a vacuum, it’s currently AOC’s cheapest OLED monitor, and you’ll have to look deeper into this monitor’s specs to see why this is a big deal.
A colourful QD-OLED panel
The Q27G40ZDF, first and foremost, features a 27-inch, 2560 x 1440 QD-OLED panel. The resolution may only be QHD, but the QD-OLED means that you’ll still get rich, inky blacks while also getting more vibrant colours out of a typical OLED. The panel also covers 99% of the DCI-P3 gamut, and comes with an anti-reflective coating to make sure you get the most out of those colours.
240Hz refresh rate with 0.03ms response time
Adding to that is a 240Hz refresh rate – not as high as some of the top-end monitors coming out right now, but again, if you’re upgrading from a years-old monitor that’s on its last legs, 240Hz will feel like a whole new world. It also has a 0.03ms GtG response time for delay-free gaming, and G-Sync compatibility to top it off.
What other quality-of-life features does it have?
The monitor comes with AOC’s Ergo Base stand, but if you want to swap it out for one of your own, with pivots, swivels and other luxuries, you can, as the Q27G40ZDF has a VESA mount at the back.
