
Developers at Quantic Dream have gone on strike to oppose impending layoffs, stating that the narrative-driven Star Wars Eclipse “cannot be finished” if the layoffs proceed.
The studio behind Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human announced Star Wars Eclipse at The Game Awards 2021, but has not discussed the game much since. In Feb. 2026, it launched a MOBA called Spellcasters Chronicles, which flopped and was subsequently taken offline earlier this month. In the wake of Spellcasters Chronicles‘ shuttering, Quantic Dream reportedly plans to carry out a round of layoffs affecting 115 workers.
