Leaker Sonny Dickson recently shared several images of a purported foldable iPhone dummy unit on Facebook. The photos reveal a wider, book-style design that differs significantly from the tall and narrow form factors adopted by most foldable smartphones today.
The wider approach is becoming an emerging trend in the foldable market. Huawei was among the first to experiment with the concept through the Pura X, a device that resembles a traditional clamshell foldable but unfolds sideways to provide a wider display. The company later expanded on the idea with the Pura X Max, which pushes the form factor even further.
