SINGAPORE – A 41-year-old man is expected to be charged in court for the alleged murder of a 38-year-old woman at a hotel along South Bridge Road on Oct 24.
In a police statement on Oct 24, the police said he went to Bukit Merah East Neighbourhood Police Centre at 7.40am to inform police officers that he had killed his wife.
The police said the suspect was arrested for his alleged involvement in the murder.
Officers found the woman lying motionless in a room at the Capri by Fraser China Square hotel, and she was subsequently pronounced dead by Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedics at the scene.
The hotel is operated by Frasers Hospitality and is located near Chinatown Point.
When The Straits Times arrived at around 11.30am, there were no police cars or cordons outside the hotel. Hotel staff only allowed guests to enter the premises.
