Last year, Donkey Kong made a huge splash on Nintendo’s brand-new Switch 2 console with Donkey Kong Bananza, which quickly gained critical acclaim for its 3D platforming, exploration, and banana collecting. Now, Nintendo is once again calling Donkey Kong’s number, only this time that number is 64: Donkey Kong 64 will reemerge, for better or worse, via Nintendo Switch Online early next month.Â
DK64 features DK and an entire crew of helpers, from the familiar Diddy Kong to the lesser-known Lanky, Chunky, and Tiny Kong. Together, the five Kongs go out on a 3D platforming adventure to stop King K. Rool from once again trying to steal DK Island’s banana hoard.
