19 motorists caught flouting traffic rules at Woodlands Checkpoint over Labour Day weekend


SINGAPORE – Nineteen motorists were caught for committing traffic offences like jumping the queue and driving across double white lines at Woodlands Checkpoint during the Labour Day long weekend.

Eighteen of them were caught while leaving Singapore.

Their traffic offences included crossing double white lines, making illegal right turns, jumping queues or stopping in spots that posed a danger to, blocked or unnecessarily inconvenienced other motorists.

The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA), in a statement on May 7, said 14 vehicles were told to make a U-turn and join the back of the queue. All of them were referred to the Traffic Police for further action.
