In an Instagram post on Wednesday (April 15), Mediacorp actress Chantalle Ng revealed she is currently fostering a dog rescued from a South Korean dog meat breeding farm, where he was reportedly on the verge of being slaughtered.
Speaking to 8days.sg, Chantalle reveals that the dog, named Jeong, was brought back to Singapore by her friend, who works as a flight attendant.
Jeong, who is about four or five years old, and is up for adoption.
For now, he is staying temporarily at the 30-year-old actress’ home, which, at this point, sounds more like a full-fledged animal sanctuary.
“Like a farm!” she says with a laugh when we mention this. The Emerald Hill star currently has two Silkie chickens, Happy and Fluffy, a Singapore Special dog named Pretty, and a cat named Butter.
According to Chantalle’s IG, Jeong is very gentle, though he was a little nervous in new surroundings at the start.
