SINGAPORE: A man has been caught on CCTV allegedly taking and discarding footwear from outside a public housing unit in Singapore, in an incident reported in Woodlands on 10 April 2026.
Footage of the incident, shared on social media and later reported by Stomp, shows a man removing multiple pairs of shoes from a rack along a corridor before appearing to throw them into a rubbish chute.
The incident took place at about 6.05 am at a Housing and Development Board (HDB) block along Woodlands Drive 73.
Police confirmed that a report has been lodged and investigations are ongoing.

In a CCTV footage shared by Instagram account ‘sgfollowsall’, the man was seen entering the corridor wearing a singlet, shorts, slippers, and a pair of black gloves.
He appeared to look around before squatting near a shoe rack outside a residential unit and taking four pairs of footwear, including children’s shoes.
