Hollow Knight Silksong Patch 4 Adding Community Requested Feature

Hollow Knight Silksong Patch 4 Adding Community Requested Feature

Hollow Knight Silksong releases Patch 4 into public beta, bringing with it a bunch of big changes and tweaks including a buff to the multibinder and big improvements to its simplified Chinese translation. The lengthy wait for Hollow Knight Silksong seems to have been worth it as the latest from Team Cherry has not only earned high praise from critics, but from players as well.

There’s been plenty of discussion over Hollow Knight Silksong‘s difficulty spikes, which has seemingly posed a problem for some players. Part of the issue is getting a handle on Hornet’s unique movement style compared to the Knight, though there are some that feel like the hitbox is much bigger in Silksong, resulting in cheap hits. So far, the game’s dfficulty has largely remained the same as it was at launch, pushing players to learn from their mistakes and try again.

Although there is an expectation that the Hollow Knight games feature some difficult platforming and boss fights, it hasn’t stopped Team Cherry from making adjustments when necessary. Although Patch 4 isn’t making changes to any boss fights (as of now), the developer has revealed that the public beta version is improving controller support such as rumble features and added support for more types. The Simplified CHinese translation is also getting an update, though the developer warns that the implementation isn’t finalized, so there may be some display issues.

Besides the bug fixes, the other big piece in patch 4 is a buff to Hollow Knight Silksong‘s Multibinder tool, a request that Team Cherry credits to the community. The tool itself is more of a risk/reward style tool that players can equip once the device has been purchased, giving a 4 mask heal at the cost of a longer and locked animation. With this patch, the Multibinder’s initial bind is able to clear maggots, while the unintentionally long bind time with the Shaman crest has also been fixed.

Hollow Knight: Silksong Update Secret Changes

Team Cherry finishes the patch notes by saying this update remains a work in progress with more fixes on the way before it is ultimately released live to everyone. Considering Hollow Knight Silksong received an update earlier this week, it’s likely that this Patch will remain in testing for a while longer, especially as the studio continues to add more to it.
