Best Games to Buy for $100 in the Steam Winter Sale

This bundle of games includes the Game of the Year editions for Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, along with Batman: Arkham Knight and its season pass. Two out of the three have “Overwhelming Positive” scores on Steam, and Arkham Knight isn’t far off that mark. Altogether, that’s a value of almost $80, which would practically wipe out the hypothetical $100 budget if the sale weren’t on.

Dispatch – $26.99 (10% Off)

The Steam discount on Dispatch is much less significant, but it only came out a few months ago, so that’s understandable. A combination of an interactive animated movie and a chaos simulator, Dispatch has players stepping into the role of Robert Robertson III, a former superhero turned emergency dispatcher for a bunch of misfit ex-villains trying to turn their lives around.

Released in eight episodes between October 22 and November 12, it’s got a 97 percent approval rating on Steam, and while the discount isn’t that big compared to other games on the list, it still takes a little chunk out of the regular $29.99 price tag for such a highly rated recent release. It’s also got a stellar cast, featuring the talents of Aaron Paul and Laura Bailey, plus a bunch of social media stars like Yung Gravy, Thot Squad, jacksepticeye, and MoistCr1TiKaL, who provide laugh-out-loud moments in the epic superhero story.

Hades – $7.49 (70% Off)

Hades 2 is one of the best video games of 2025 in a lot of players’ minds, but the first game in the series is certainly nothing to scoff at for anyone who hasn’t picked it up yet. Since its release in September 2020, Hades has racked up more than 136,000 reviews on Steam, and 95 percent of players have walked away leaving it a positive review, putting it just a tick below the popularity of its much more recent sequel (which is also available for 25 percent off during the Winter Sale).

That’s a great performance for Supergiant Games’ roguelite, which packs a ton of high-energy action into an engaging story. The Steam discount for Hades is also a great offer for those who dove headfirst into the second game without playing the first.

Blue Prince – $19.79 (34% Off)

There have been many stellar indie games released in 2025, and Blue Prince is easily counted among them. The debut entry for solo developer Tonda Ros, the mansion-crawling puzzle game took about eight years to create, and players can feel the love put into it over time as they place and explore its wide array of rooms to try to unlock the secrets of the Mount Holly Estate.

Released in April, Blue Prince was the best-reviewed game of 2025 when it came out, with an aggregate score of 90 on Opencritic. While it didn’t hold that crown forever, it’s still near the top of the year’s highest-rated games. A lot of console players have already had access to Blue Prince due to its day-one inclusion on both Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus, but those looking to hold onto it forever can use the Winter Sale to add Blue Prince to their Steam libraries permanently.

Megabonk – $7.49 (25% Off)

If Blue Prince is too peaceful and thought-provoking, the Megabonk discount on Steam provides gamers with some chaotic battles against hordes of enemies and ridiculous level scaling. Released in September, Megabonk registers at 94 percent approval on Steam, and its regular price tag of under $10 is cut even cheaper with its inclusion in the Winter Sale.

Fans of Vampire Survivors have flocked to try out Megabonk‘s cast of characters, and they’ll recognize a similar gameplay loop as they wipe out waves of enemies with randomly received power-ups. It may have gotten special attention for withdrawing consideration from The Game Awards 2025 over a technicality, but plenty of fans feel it deserved a shot at the podium.

Red Dead Redemption 2 – $14.99 (75% Off)

The Winter Sale also includes a sizable discount on Red Dead Redemption 2. The classic Western action-adventure game has been around since 2018, but it’s another game that falls into the category of timeless hit, and it’s being offered as a steal for anyone who has avoided it this long.

Following the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan, the turn-of-the-century tale of the Van der Linde gang is one of the most celebrated in all gaming. Red Dead Redemption 2 racked up Game of the Year honors from more than 175 different sources, and while it lost out to God of War at The Game Awards 2018, it’s still a hot property for Rockstar Games that has fans asking if they will ever get a Red Dead Redemption 3.

Developed by Mintrocket, Dave the Diver sits at an all-time approval rating of 96 percent on Steam, making it one of the best-received games on this list.

Presented through an intentionally pixelated art style, players guide Dave through deep-sea dives during the day before switching to running a sushi restaurant featuring the day’s haul at night. The duality of gameplay has earned it a lot of accolades, including Best Independent Game at The Game Awards 2023, and the discounted price of Dave the Diver gives potential players a good reason for picking it up before the sale ends.
