There is no shortage of iconic Christmas movies from Fortnite to take inspiration of for some timely collaborations, and this year, it might just be lining up a partnership with one of the very best. Supposedly, the next Fortnite collab will see characters from the beloved Home Alone series entering the battle royale game — though maybe not the one that gamers would want most.
Fortnite has no shortage of holiday-themed cosmetics, with just some of the dozens of seasonal skins being:
- Red-nosed Raider
- Crackabella
- Grimbles
- Cutiepie
- Sgt. Winter
- Polar Patroller
- Blinky
- Mr. Dappermint
- Polar Peely
- Winterfest Bushranger
In addition to these original designs, Epic Games has started tapping into collabs themed around holidays, such as Jack Skellington from Nightmare Before Christmas being added to the game back in 2023. It seems like another fun collab could be in the works for Christmas 2025, as according to leaker @blortzen, who has proven reputable before, Home Alone’s Wet Bandits may be coming to Fortnite in the near future. It’s important to note that @blortzen said to take the info with a grain of salt, which is wise to do with any rumor, though they did also state that they trust the info they’ve received.
With Nightmare Before Christmas being both a Halloween and Christmas film, perhaps Jack will return to the Fortnite Item Shop in the near future, though this is purely speculation.
Anyone familiar with Home Alone will surely be fond of the Wet Bandits, as the likable thieves were second only to main character Kevin McCallister in terms of popularity. It’s unclear if the in-game models for Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern) will boast the likenesses of their actors, but considering how beat up characters can get in Fortnite, players should have no problem recreating some of the duo’s hilarious fails. They’d surely make great NPCs, too, as they could offer appropriate tasks that see players surviving traps and recovering from damage. The Home Alone house would make a great POI, too, though there’s no telling if it will come to Fortnite’s island to celebrate the collab, as only the skins are rumored as of now.
Addressing the Troublemaker in the Room
Obviously, if the Wet Bandits are coming to Fortnite, the next question Home Alone fans will inevitably ask is if Macaulay Caulkin’s Kevin will be coming to the game too. Unfortunately, the beloved youngster went unmentioned in the leaker’s post, suggesting that only the antagonists of Home Alone are coming to the game. While this is undoubtedly going to be disappointing to Christmas film enjoyers who wanted to gun down their opponents as Kevin, it does make some sense when thinking about how the character’s in-game model would look.
While Fortnite certainly has some size differences between its character models, Epic Games has been careful never to go too far in any direction in order to avoid any advantages or disadvantages regarding hitboxes. It’s for this reason that certain characters are downsized or redesigned, like Peter Griffin having his normal look swapped out for a muscular build. Given that Kevin isn’t even 10 years old in Home Alone 1 and 2, unless Epic were to give him a strange growth spurt, he’d simply be too small to turn into a purchasable Fortnite skin. While Epic could maybe get creative and give him a mech like it did with the Morty skin, Kevin isn’t from a sci-fi franchise where that sort of tech is justified. Realistically, there’s just no way to get a normal child like Kevin into Fortnite.
Still, for those that aren’t deterred by the lack of Kevin McCallister content in this rumored Fortnite crossover, it’s safe to assume the bundle will arrive in late November or December. Perhaps Kevin can be represented via some back bling of his Talkboy recorder, though it’s likely that the Wet Bandits will be the main focus of Fortnite’s potential Home Alone crossover.
