As with any game, your mileage may vary depending on how much of a completionist you are. However, we estimate the average playthrough of the Gears of War: E-Day campaign will take approximately 20–25 hours.

Some players may get through it quicker, such as those on easier difficulty settings or anyone who beelines straight for the main objective during the game’s non-linear sections. Meanwhile, those who like to challenge themselves with harder difficulties and find all the collectibles will likely be at the top end of that estimate. According to Steam, my playthrough clocked in at 28 hours, but that included considerable AFK time, along with testing various settings, and replaying a couple of missions.
