World of Warcraft Reveals 11.2.7 Patch Notes

World of Warcraft unveiled the list of changes coming in Patch 11.2.7, The Warning, one day before the update’s arrival on live servers. The upcoming World of Warcraft patch is the final update for The War Within, and is filled to the brim with several features and quality of life changes that players can experience before the Midnight expansion arrives early in 2026.

One of the biggest features in the 11.2.7 update is undoubtedly the early-access launch of World of Warcraft‘s player housing system. Once the update goes live on December 2, players who pre-ordered the Midnight expansion can claim a piece of virtual real estate in Founder’s Point (Alliance) or Razorwind Shores (Horde) for themselves, or create neighborhoods that guilds and player-run groups can manage. Additionally, several pieces of furniture can be crafted via professions or obtained by completing quests and achievements with any character. Furnishings earned from raid and dungeon achievements will be retroactively granted to players who have already completed them, giving diligent World of Warcraft fans a head start on filling up their furniture collections.

World of Warcraft Reveals Twitch Drops for 11.2.7 Update

The release of World of Warcraft Patch 11.2.7, The Warning, is imminent, meaning a brand-new Twitch Drop will soon be up for grabs.

What else is in World of Warcraft’s New Update?

However, player housing will not be the only addition in The War Within‘s final update. Legion Remix will receive some adjustments that should make it easier to gain Infinite Power until the mode ends in January. World bosses will appear throughout the Broken Isles, and players who defeat a Doomguard Challenger in the Heroic World Tier will now be rewarded with Fragmented Mementoes of Epoch Challenges. The draconic NPC Erus will now allow Timerunning characters to scrap Motes of a Broken Time to gain Fragmented Mementoes of Epoch Challenges, up to 50 per day. Various changes to the Churning Waters talent and Naran’s Everdisc ability were also added. Housing items will also be available in exchange for Bronze, giving players just a few weeks to claim some exclusive decorations for their new homes before Legion Remix ends.

As for The War Within, December 2 will also mark the return of the Turbulent Timeways event, giving players a chance to level up alternate characters quickly and get some gear ahead of Midnight. The Turbulent Timeways event will run until early February 2026, over a span of 10 weeks. Shadowlands Timewalking will also be added to the Timewalking rotation, which includes special versions of dungeons like The Necrotic Wake and De Other Side. Various cosmetic rewards from the Shadowlands expansion, including mounts and weapons, can be purchased for Timewarped Badges while Shadowlands Timewalking is active.

Skyriding will also see significant changes in Patch 11.2.7. The Vigor resource used during Dragonflight and most of The War Within has been removed from the game. Instead, most moves have six shared charges that regenerate once every 10 seconds or by using the Second Wind ability. Using the Take Off ability is now free, and Whirling Surge has its own 30-second cooldown, which should make flying the skies of Azeroth easier to manage.

One week later, on December 9, the Brawlers’ Guild makes its long-awaited return to Azeroth, as Bizmo’s Brawlpub and the Brawl’gar Arena will be reopened for business. Various cosmetic rewards will be granted to World of Warcraft players who can conquer these various combat challenges. Additionally, some user interface changes were made to World of Warcraft, which include updated tutorials and various control changes that players should bear in mind.

The Warning is a Fitting Prelude to Midnight

It’s no secret that the Midnight expansion will focus heavily on the various elf races, with an added emphasis on the region of Quel’thalas. A new quest chain featuring Arator, who will be one of Midnight‘s key NPCs, will be available on December 2 to bridge the gap between The War Within and Midnight. To bring World of Warcraft players up to speed on the history of Quel’thalas, Lorewalker Cho will offer a special Lorewalking quest that focuses on some key events concerning the Sunwell, a font of powerful energies that will be a focal point in Midnight‘s main story. Pandaren players will also be able to earn a set of cosmetic Heritage Armor for their collections.
