Battlefield 6 has released the patch notes for the upcoming November 18 update, giving players an idea of what to expect. The developers have already added various content after Battlefield 6’s launch, and this new update will bring another new map, along with more changes and bug fixes.
Since its October 10 release, Battlefield 6 has enjoyed massive numbers on platforms like Steam. Over a month after release, the game still peaks at over 200,000 concurrent players daily. However, the game has had some issues that the developers have looked to address. For example, a November 11 patch fixed an annoying drone glitch in Battlefield 6 that allowed players to reach normally off-limits areas. With the game currently in Season 1, some more content and fixes are on their way.
How Battlefield 6 Review Scores Compare to Black Ops 7
Now that both games are out, we can see how the Battlefield 6 review scores compared to rival Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
Specifically, these changes are coming via the 1.1.2.0 update for the game on November 18. Among the highlights, a new map called Eastwood is being added to Battlefield 6 as part of the California Resistance content drop. As was previously revealed, the map features a Southern California theme and will be playable in all modes. Besides the new map, the 1.1.2.0 update will introduce Sabotage, a limited-time game mode. According to the patch notes, Sabotage will have an emphasis on demolition, which could be exciting in a game that features destructible environments. Furthermore, a couple of new weapons, the M357 Sidearm and DB-12 Shotgun, are being added to the lineup.
It is worth noting that the November 18 update is also making some big changes to aim assist. Following feedback from players, the developers have reverted aim assist to its Open Beta tuning. According to the patch notes, the goal of this change is to restore “consistent infantry targeting behaviour across all input types.” Additionally, the update refines the experience for controller players by improving input latency and stick response.
Aim assist tuning and improvements to the controller experience are only a few of the changes coming in the update. Weapon accuracy and dispersion are being adjusted, making shooting feel more reliable. Some other changes include a “major polish pass” to deployable gadgets and new updates to Portal in Battlefield 6. Numerous bugs are being squashed as well.
It will be interesting to see how the 1.1.2.0 update impacts reception for the game. While having a new map to play on should be a significant draw, some Battlefield 6 players are concerned about Eastwood before its release. Notably, the community worries that the layout of objectives on the map could lead to an unfair advantage for one team, depending on the situation. Fortunately, the update launches at 9:00 UTC on November 18, so the community can soon try out Eastwood and the rest of the changes for themselves.

AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT
Aim Assist
As we got closer to launch, we revisited aim assist tuning based on internal testing and the full range of maps and combat distances coming with release. Our goal was to make aim assist feel more effective beyond mid-range fights which was one of our focuses within Battlefield Labs and Open Beta.
At launch, we increased slowdown at longer ranges, but once the game went live, we saw that this made high-zoom aiming feel less smooth and harder to control.
After reviewing player feedback and gameplay data, we’re reverting aim assist back to the values some of you experienced during Open Beta and Battlefield Labs. This will now serve as the default, whilst still providing you with the ability to alter the aim assist to your preference and playstyle via settings.
This change keeps aim slowdown consistent across all ranges, helping with muscle memory and providing a steadier, more reliable feel as we move into future seasons.
