Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Reveal Late November Seven-Star Tera Raid

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers soon have another Seven-Star Tera Raid challenge to prepare, as Goodra the Unrivaled will appear in Tera Raid dens through the latter half of November. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players will have a limited time to battle and catch Goodra the Unrivaled, though the Dragon Pokemon will have a few tricks for trainers to bear in mind.

First appearing in Pokemon X and Y, Goodra is the pseudo-legendary monster of the Kalos region. Goodra is usually a Dragon-type critter that evolves from Sliggoo when leveled up in rainy weather. In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, both Sligoo and Goodra received Hisuian regional variants and gained the Steel-type as a secondary typing. Goodra is considered a mixed attacker with exceptionally high special defense, with moves like Dragon Pulse, Surf, Poison Tail, and Earthquake at its disposal. Goodra can also utilize abilities like Sap Sipper and Gooey, and force opponents to adjust on the fly.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Goodra Tera Raid Details (Late November 2025)

Days after the end of the Hydreigon Tera Raid period, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers have another draconic foe to face soon. According to Serebii.net, Goodra the Unrivaled will appear in Seven-Star Tera Raid dens starting Thursday, November 20, at 7:00 PM Eastern, and ending on Sunday, November 23, at 6:59 PM Eastern. Pokemon trainers who miss the first round will have a second chance the following weekend, from November 27 to 30. Goodra the Unrivaled will have the Water-type as its Tera type, and will grant the Mightiest Mark to trainers to defeat it in battle. Goodra’s high special defense will come into play, but it will have lower physical defense as a counterbalance. However, Goodra the Unrivaled will have some moves and abilities that can combat its weakness to Grass and Electric attacks.

Goodra the Unrivaled can have one of three potential abilities, and each one presents its own challenges. Hydration can heal Goodra if Rain Dance is active, and its hidden ability, Gooey, can slow down attackers that make physical contact. However, Goodra’s most likely ability is Sap Sipper, which renders it immune to Grass-type attacks and boosts its attack stat instead of taking damage. Ergo, moves that remove abilities, such as Gastro Acid and Skill Swap, are highly recommended for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers to use during the battle.

Once Goodra’s abilities are neutralized, strong Pokemon like Iron Hands or Serperior can deal high damage against the draconic Tera Raid boss. It remains to be seen what strategies Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players will utilize against Goodra the Unrivaled.
