A 46-year-old construction supervisor died on Nov. 13 after falling 9 metres at an MRT construction site for the Jurong Region Line. The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said that the worker fell at around 5:30pm while descending a scaffolding at the site. He was conveyed to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and was pronounced dead there. LTA told Mothership that a stop-work order has been issued for the worksite. A safety time-out has also been called for at-height work activities across LTA projects to review compliance with safety procedures. LTA is supporting MOM in investigations into the incident.
