SimplyGo’s New Kuromi and Buttercup EZ-Link Charms Bring Some Attitude to Your Commute

Both characters appear in seated poses, with matching white straps completing the charms. For fans of either series, it is a playful way to bring a favourite character along for the ride.

Where to Find the New EZ-Link Charms

The charms will be available progressively at all SimplyGo vending machines in malls, so availability may differ between locations during the rollout.

Buying a Charm from the Vending Machine

To make a purchase, select the desired charm on the screen, tap the purchase button and choose a payment method. Hold the payment card or device still against the reader until all the green lights are lit before removing it.

Each transaction dispenses one product only. Once the charm drops into the collection compartment, retrieve it within 60 seconds, as the door will lock automatically.

Top Up to Activate Before Linking to the App

There is one more step before the new travel companion is ready for duty: activate the charm by topping it up at a ticketing service kiosk before pairing it with the SimplyGo app.

Since the purchase price does not include any stored value, commuters will need to budget for that initial top-up too. After that, Buttercup or Kuromi can take over tapping duties on the next journey.
