Among the many questions still surrounding the most-hyped game of the decade, Grand Theft Auto 6, the one at the forefront of fans’ minds is whether they’ll be able to play Rockstar’s upcoming Florida life-simulation game with their friends. In June, when Rockstar shared GTA 6‘s pricing and preorder details, the company emphasized that the game is a “single-player experience.” But given how much money GTA Online still makes for them, few people doubt that some form of multiplayer experience will come to the new game too.
Confirmation of multiplayer for GTA 6 apparently came from an unlikely source. During an interview with Bloomberg, Twitch CEO Dan Clancy discussed GTA 6 at length. In the process, he also revealed that Rockstar will launch the game’s multiplayer “next year.”
