Heng Heng Ondeh Ondeh & Tapioca Cake is a familiar fixture at Maxwell Market & Food Centre. Second-gen hawkers, husband-and-wife Ang Tiong Guan and Ng Gek Hoe, have been making their sweet potato ondeh ondeh by hand for over 40 years! The laborious process begins with peeling and cooking down sweet potatoes to a paste, before shaping it into balls and stuffing it with a lump of earthy gula jawa.
