Singapore, 06 September 2026 – Fair and windy conditions occurred over Singapore today. As at 6pm, the 1-hr PM_2.5 concentration readings were 38-66 µg/m³, in Band I – 2 (Normal – Elevated), and the 24-hr PSI was 73-87, in the Moderate range.

Update on Hotspot and Haze Situation

2. With the ongoing dry conditions, moderate to dense smoke plumes from fires in southern and central Sumatra as West Kalimantan continued to drift towards Singapore.

3. While some showers are forecast over Kalimantan, dry conditions are expected over Singapore and the surrounding region in the coming days. With prevailing winds blowing from the southeast or south, there is a continued risk of smoke haze affecting Singapore should the fires persist. The 24-hr PSI for Singapore is forecast to be in the High Moderate to Low Unhealthy range.
