Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office Indranee Rajah, often known for her firm tone in Parliament, revealed a gentler, deeply personal side, while she addressed questions about her personal life with refreshing honesty and candour in a recent interview on CNA’s The Assembly.
She confirmed she is single, not dating, and not actively seeking a relationship. “I see lots of people every day,” she laughed, “but no, not dating.”
Asked if she regretted not having children, she replied calmly, “Since I never met someone I wanted to settle down with, then there are no children in the equation.”
She dismissed the idea that politics robbed her of romance. Instead, she said her career gave her opportunities to serve and broaden her horizons.
