One of Singapore’s oldest surviving coffeeshops will shutter for good at the end of September, bringing an almost six-decade run to a close.
Canteen 398, more fondly known as Boh Geh Uncle Canteen, announced the news in a notice placed at the establishment, which has since been shared on social media.
According to the notice, its last day of operations will be on Sept 18 and the coffeeshop will be permanently closed from Sept 19 after 57 years running.
“Thank you for all your support all these years,” read the notice.
