Typically, premium smartphones from various Android brands get all the attention and marketing dollars with months of buildup to their launch. Xiaomi has decided to give that attention to its upcoming mid-range Android phone, the Redmi Note 17 series.
The August 2026 announcement led with a series of promises about smartphone durability, including three TÜV SÜD certifications for battery performance, drop resistance, and water resistance.
