Gears of War: E-Day is Microsoft’s next big exclusive, and as you’d expect, a limited-edition Xbox wireless controller has been announced for the game. Fans will also have the option to design their own controller, as the Xbox Design Lab has been updated with a new Emergence Day-themed skin.
Priced at $90, the Gears of War: E-Day controller draws inspiration from the holes that the Locust spewed from on E-Day, as the design features cracked asphalt and the iconic Crimson Omen that builds up when you’re nearly dead in the Gears games. The illustrations have been laser-etched onto the controller, and other neat details include blacked-out ABY buttons, a transparent red X button, matching red triggers, and a transparent D-pad. You’ll also find a metallic COG tag on the battery door, and it’s available to preorder now.
