Alan Wake and Control developer Remedy is betting big on Control Resonant, as Alan Wake 2 finally passes 3 million copies sold.
Remedy’s latest financial results show decreases in profit, revenue and cash flow â but this isn’t a huge surprise. The company is busy putting the finishing touches to its impressive-looking Control sequel, while sales of its back catalog have been steady.
Originally launched in October 2023, Alan Wake 2 took some time to turn a profit. Meanwhile, as previously announced, Remedy’s multiplayer experiment FBC: Firebreak received its final update back in March, following low sales.
Jean-Charles Gaudechon, installed as CEO of Remedy in March, commented on the company’s latest results by pointing out that the company had now begun spending on Control Resonant marketing, including its reveal trailer shown during Sony’s June State of Play presentation, and second trailer which aired during Summer Game Fest.
