Fortnite is Crossing Over With Resident Evil Requiem


Fortnite has officially revealed a major horror crossover coming to the game sometime next year, with the battle royale teaming up with the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem. The beloved shooter has been no stranger to spooky collaborations, especially following the start of the ongoing “Fortnitemares” Halloween event, with a wide variety of different skins. Fortnitemares has brought everything from Friday the 13th to Scooby-Doo into Fortnite throughout the course of the event, with more than 20 skins added to the game. Now, Fortnite is hinting at another collaboration next year with a beloved horror video game franchise.

Fortnite has teamed up with Capcom’s most iconic horror franchise in the past, with multiple Resident Evil skins added to the battle royale. Fortnite‘s “S.T.A.R.S.” set focused around the original pair of playable Resident Evil protagonists, bringing new skins to the game based on Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine. Fortnite would also later add both Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield to the battle royale in 2023, likely as a tie-in for the release of the remake of Resident Evil 4. Fortnite is now teasing even more Resident Evil skins coming in 2026.

Epic Games officially revealed the upcoming Fortnite collaboration with Resident Evil Requiem through the Epic Games Store. Players who pre-purchase Resident Evil Requiem through the Epic Games Store will receive a gift with their purchase, giving access to a skin based on protagonist Grace Ashcroft. The post also suggests that “other items” will be available within Fortnite as part of the bonus, hinting at even more Resident Evil Requiem content coming to Fortnite. The post does not confirm a release date for Resident Evil Requiem‘s crossover content in Fortnite, though it will likely coincide with the game’s release on February 27.

Fortnite Teaming Up with Resident Evil Requiem

Fortnite‘s new collaboration with Resident Evil Requiem comes as the game has some exciting crossover content on the way soon. The end of Fortnite‘s Chapter 6 will officially ring in a mini-season based on The Simpsons, with a new map themed around the beloved animated series coming alongside multiple skins from the series. Leaks have also heavily suggested that another popular show will be making its way to Fortnite soon, hinting at the addition of South Park cosmetics to the game.

Fortnite Testing AI Player Support

Fortnite‘s upcoming crossovers join plenty of high-profile collaborations to hit the game throughout recent months. Alongside the previously mentioned Fortnitemares crossovers, Fortnite teamed up with popular Netflix film K-Pop Demon Hunters for a major event, adding multiple skins and a new game mode. The developer also rolled out the “Daft Punk Experience” as a collaboration with the iconic musical act, with a plethora of songs also coming to Fortnite Festival. Fortnite fans should have lots to look forward to with The Simpsons on the way, and plenty more to come later.
