SINGAPORE – Access to several areas near the National Stadium has been closed owing to crowding at the National Day Parade.
As at 7.25pm on Aug 9, according to online map Crowd@NationalStadium, the following areas had been closed:

Stadium Riverside Walk (Areas A, B and C)

Water Sports Centre
-
Tanjong Rhu Lookout Tower
In a Facebook post announcing the closure of access to several areas earlier that evening, the police said: “Members of public are advised to avoid these areas.”
At least nine other areas around the Kallang Basin were also considered “very crowded”, according to Crowd@NationalStadium.
The police have advised the public to check Crowd@NationalStadium – https://go.gov.sg/crowd-at-national-stadium – or the police’s Facebook page for the latest information.
The map is available from 4pm to 10.30pm on Aug 9.
Those going to areas around the National Stadium are advised to check real-time crowd levels first.
