YouTuber Natalie Wynn, known as streamer and video essayist ContraPoints, viewed gaming as a forbidden delicacy when she was a kid. But that only made her want it more.
From The Sims and Age of Empires, to horror games like Resident Evil Requiem and the Fears to Fathom series, Natalie played it all and now she streams games on her second channel, ContraPointsLive. She especially loves low-fidelity horror games that evoke the faintly remembered games of her childhood.
We met up with Natalie at videogamesnewyork in the East Village, to spark some gaming memories and explore the shelves. She finds some deep pulls (Gauntlet Dark Legacy, anyone??) and digs into the “silent indifference” of The Sims. If you ever wanted a video essay on gaming from Natalie, get excited. Watch it all on Shelf Quest!
