Speaking during the Workers’ Party’s economic motion on Aug. 5, party chief Pritam Singh reiterated his call for Singapore to legislate minimum retrenchment benefits. He added that retrenchment benefits are important because they support workers and their families at a time when financial obligations are often at their greatest.
