Spider-Man: Brand New Day has reportedly suffered a significant leak that saw a high-quality bootleg spread across X/Twitter before Sony took it down.
It’s yet another leak in X’s lineup that arrived just as Tom Holland’s latest go at the Wall-Crawler swung into cinemas, according to Variety. The site stated that user Fredrick Bryan posted the movie earlier today, leaving users to view the film and reveal its biggest surprises for hours before Sony was able to take it down.
It’s reported the post reached 5.9 million X accounts, accumulated more than 143,000 likes, and passed 10,000 reshares. IGN hasn’t been able to find any reuploads of the movie on social media yet, but traces can still be found if you know where to look.
“DUDE NO I WAS WATCHING THIS SPIDERMAN BRAND NEW DAY MOVIE ON TWITTER AND IT SUDDENLY STOPPED PLAYING,” one user said.
“Yo did anybody download that Spider-Man Brand New Day movie that just dropped? I forgot to download it before it got deleted,” another user said with “loudly crying face” emojis.
