Neuromancer adaptation on Apple TV

For a novel that helped shape how popular culture thinks about hackers, cyberspace and powerful technology companies, William Gibson’s Neuromancer has taken an awfully long time to reach the screen. Well, Apple TV is now having a go at it and has unleashed the first teaser for its upcoming 10-episode adaptation during its San Diego Comic-Con panel.

Callum Turner, who plays the series’ lead character Case, made a surprise virtual appearance at the panel to introduce the teaser. Case is described as a damaged but highly skilled hacker who finds himself pulled into a world of digital espionage and high-stakes crime. He eventually partners Molly, played by Briana Middleton, a cybernetically enhanced “razor-girl” assassin, for a heist targeting a corporate dynasty hiding more than a few secrets.
