Cebu Pacific will be the first low-cost airline to bring Starlink Wi-Fi onboard

Cebu Pacific has announced it will begin equipping its aircraft with SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet service from 2027, promising passengers faster and more reliable Wi-Fi while travelling.

The Philippine carrier says the service will support high-speed, low-latency internet access, allowing passengers to stream HD video, play online games, work remotely or remain in contact with family and friends during their flights.

According to its press release, Cebu Pacific says the agreement will make it the “first low-cost airline in South-east Asia” to offer Starlink connectivity onboard its aircraft. However, the airline has not revealed which aircraft or routes will receive the service first, how long the wider rollout will take, or how much passengers will need to pay to access it.
